About Aciphex

Aciphex is a proton pump inhibitor that suppresses acid production in the cells of the stomach lining. It is used for the healing of erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), maintenance of healed erosive GERD, healing of duodenal ulcers and treatment of pathological hypersecretory conditions, including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It is also approved for treatment of daytime and nighttime heartburn and other symptoms associated with GERD. Aciphex Side Effects

Aciphex is usually well-received, with the most commonly reported side-effect being headache.

Take one Aciphex pill per day. Aciphex is effective for 24 hours.

Store at room temperature, away from heat, sunlight and moisture, and out of the reach of children.

Drug Interactions with Aciphex

Symptom relief does not rule out other serious stomach conditions. Patients taking warfarin (Coumadin) may need to be monitored more closely by their doctor. Before starting Aciphex treatment, tell your doctor about any other drugs you may be taking. Also consult a doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
