Atacand Side Effects

Atacand is usually well-received. The most commonly reported side effects are upper respiratory tract infection, dizziness, and back pain.

Atacand Proper Usage

Take exactly as directed. Usual dose is one tablet a day. It can be taken with or without food.

Atacand Missed Dosage

If you miss a dose of Atacand, take it as soon as you remember, but if a day has passed already, just skip the missed dose and continue as usual. You should not take more than your prescribed dose on any one day.

Atacand Warnings

Atacand should not be used by patients allergic to any of its ingredients and should not be used by pregnant women. Atacand may cause extreme dizziness in patients with low water/salt level ("dehydration"). Dehydration can be caused by many factors. Your doctor will probably wish to treat your dehydration before you start taking Atacand.

Drug Interactions with Atacand

Be sure that your prescriber is aware of any other medications you are taking, especially other high blood pressure medications.
